This is chambered 2.75 so it will not accept 3" shells

Hi Richard and welcome. Absolutely yes. This has a 3-inch Chamber. Same concept as a .357 Magnum being able to fire the shorter .38 Special. A particular length chamber can fire that length or shorter shells. Cheers and stay safe!

Hi Richard, yes sir, this will accept & reliably cycle 3", 2.75". and 1.75" shells. The 590S is made to cycle the mini shells with no adapter. Stay safe & have as great day!
