I think there is more than one model of the Holosun SCS. Which one is it. Also, is it only powered by a solar panel, so can't operate with a battery, if it wouldn't always be in sunlight often enough to always be charged? If no battery, how much time in ordinary room light not direct sunlight - would produce adeqaute power for how long?

Hi David, I am only finding one model of the SCS. It is solar with a rechargeable battery. The SCS can potentially operate indefinitely using an internal, rechargeable 20,000-hour battery meaning under even moderate exposure to bright light, you will never need to change batteries again.
