Hi Chris, manganese phosphate is a type of conversion coating that provides outstanding protection against corrosion and reduces friction in moving parts. It forms a dark gray to black finish that is non-reflective. Stay safe & have a great day!

Hi Chris and welcome. Manganese Phosphate can be a parkerized looking finish or a black finish. Different makers will have varying colors amongst their models. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
