Hi John, even without the 30rd magazine, this is not NJ legal because of the threaded barrel, flash hider, & bayonet lug. (you can have the pistol grip without the other features) Not to mention, the Colt AR15 is banned by name. budsgunshop.com/feeds/state_reg/new_jersey_restrictions.pdf , As a fellow NJ resident, I feel your pain.
