Hi Curt and welcome. The hammer on the Bond Derringers has a moderate pull back effort, for safety reasons of course. It has a flat/wide hammer head and should be manageable. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

Hi Curt, Bond Arms hammers are quite tough to pull back. I would not recommend it for your wife if she does not have strong hands. Stay safe & have a great day!
