Hi Rodney and welcome. 22lr does not carry a lot of power nor shot payload so ranges will be limited for bird/pest kills. Shot will travel a good bit but will not have much killing power after about 35 to 40 feet. A .410 may be a better option depending on what you plan to use it for. Cheers and stay safe!

Hi Rodney, it typically ranges from 25 to 50 yards. The range is about 5 ft for small pests like rats, mice, and snakes. Reaching out to 10 and even 15 feet, the spread grows quite sparse, with most of the #12 pellets falling outside the target area. Stay safe & have a great day!
