The S&W Model 617 4 inch is described as stainless/silver finish. The frame and barrel are described as stainless leaving the cylinder to be "silver" or aluminum. If so this appears to be a model 617-A. Is the cylinder aluminum? I am not concerned with whether the cylinder is strong- I worry if over time it will continue to match the barrel etc.
