Hi Robert, it seems to be a common occurrence with 3" shells with the SXP. Some are reporting a good cleaning and break in with 50rds of 2 3/4" shells solved the problem. I personally have not had any issues with 3" shells in my Winchester SXP. Stay safe & have a great day!

Hi Robert and welcome. This will likely be due to shell firing practice. I have seen some reviews on youtube where 3-inch shells run no issue as well. Casing point, in a .357 Magnum - if you start with a clean cylinder, it will fire .357 no issue. Start firing the shorter 38 Special and a carbon ring will build up eventually in the cylinder (where the difference between the length of shell is). Then when you try the longer .357 again, the shell may stick when inserting or ejecting. Just be mindful of this condition and clean between different shell sizes. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
