Hi John. This Tisas has a grip safety. I'm not positive about a thumb safety, as many Tisas 1911 have them. But some do not. But none, that I have seen have a push button safety. Take care and stay safe.

ALL 1911's have a manual thumb safety on The left side (not shown) this allows it to be carried "Cocked & Locked"
Some models have an ambidextrous thumb safety. Here's an image of the left side showing the safety at the rear on the frame.
