are they every bit as reliable and a dead heap with Colt as I've been reading in reviews? I see some saying, "if you are going to do a bunch of modifications on a 1911, then why would you buy a $450 version?". I'm thinking, if you are going to buy 1911s and mod them the way you want, why would you pay more for the name Colt etc?

tisas 1911s mechanically are a great gun where colt beats them is fit and finish they are a great place to start for a modified 1911
