Yes Robert. Any 308 stamped rifle can use the 7.62 x 51 since the 308 actually operates at a higher firing pressure than the 7.62. The opposite is not true if your rifle is stamped 7.62 x 51. The maximum pressure for 7.62x51mm NATO is about 58,000 psi – and 62,000 psi for commercial .308 Winchester.
