Hi James, Gas guns will produce less felt recoil than inertia guns. Inertia guns need the gun itself to recoil hard in order to operate the action. Gas-operated shotguns use the excess gases from the fired round to cycle the action and chamber the next shell. They typically have less felt recoil due to the gas system absorbing and redirecting part of the recoil energy. Stay safe & have a great day!

yes (all other factors being equal) it will as the gas gun bleeds of pressure to operate. but weight and fit of the gun will change recoil even more

Hi James and welcome. Gas Operated shotguns of the same caliber and similar weight will recoil less as about 15% of the gas pressure produced is used to cycle the action.
