Hi all which is best to use for protection the Federal P9HS2 Hydra-Shok Jacketed Hollow Point or the Federal P9HS1 Hydra-Shok Jacketed Hollow Point? Also do we really need to buy a few hundred rounds to practice with a new gun? I hope not that gets costly in my opinion. Thats what I keep reading. Thank you.

Debra the recommended of the two for the Taurus PT-111 is the P9HS1 124gr.

The P9HS1 124gr will give you higher terminal velocity and lower recoil of the two loads.
