Yes. Howa lists the "Light Weight" Barrel Package as 8.75lbs and the "Heavy Barrel" version package as 9lbs.

yes a 1/4 of a pound which would only make a difference if you at doing a lot of hiking while hunting. I like the "heavy barrel" version
