Hi Jay and welcome. That would be the buffer tube. It is required for the AR Pistol to function. The Bolt slides back into it and a spring pushes the bolt back forward during firing. Cheers and stay safe!
That is the buffer tube. As James mentioned, it cannot be removed as it is required for the AR Pistol to function by letting the bolt slide back into the sprig within the tube. With this function, the spent Casing is ejected whilst a new round is chambered?
Hi Jay, it is the buffer tube, it holds the buffer and buffer spring. The gun cannot function if you remove it, but it can be replaced with a slotted buffer tube if you wish to add a pistol brace. Stay safe & have a great day!
it has to be there it can be changed but not removed its the buffer tube, it holds the buffer and buffer spring
