Anytime you have a longer barrel, muzzle velocity will go up & a slightly better sight radius (Opinions will vary) Also, are you going to carry it? 6"r is gonna be heavier & harder to conceal if that's the plan? For conceal carry, I'd go 4". For just plinking at the range, either one. Easier to find conceal holsters for a 4".
