Hi Bryan and welcome. This will fit and function just fine on the Smith Wesson MP15 Sport 2 AR with iron sights. Just remember to use blue loc-tite on the threads to prevent coming loose when firing. It will hold zero much better. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
