NO never shoot it without chokes installed it can damage the threads also without chokes installed the end of the barrel is extremely thin and subject to damage if you hit something with it You can shoot slugs and buckshot with IC and Modified chokes installed also be aware that the 2 barrels may not shoot to the same place especially with slugs
Hi Dennis, no sir, never fire a shotgun without a choke tube installed, unless you want to ruin the threads. Do not shoot buckshot or slugs thru the XXTRA Full choke. The best choke for slugs is IC, but you can shoot slugs/buckshot thru the included modified choke. Stay safe & have a great day!
