Hi Tracy and welcome back. Unfortunately, the Smith and Wesson Sport does not have the Maryland legal Heavy Barrel. Cheers and stay safe!

Hi Tracey, the M&P Sport does not have the required heavy barrel to be MD legal.  You can purchase a MD legal AR15 and the M&P Sport 15-22 at the same time.
