Hi Randy, from the owners manual - "DON'T USE 1 AND 3 NOTCHES CHOKES WITH STEEL SHOTS! YOU SHOULD USE JUST 5 NOTCH CHOKE WITH STEEL SHOOT. " Only use the cylinder choke with steel shot. Stay safe & have a great day!
