I live in Minnesota and I was wondering if this gun is legal to own because if it's cheaper metal, I think it's banned in Minnesota. Anybody else in the area

Hi Mike, the original Wrangler does not meet melting point laws. The new Super Wrangler does, from what I'm reading.

I would check with your local FFL to be sure.
Ruger's reply, when asked about the legality of the Super Wrangler in MN, was - "The new Super Wrangler's frame is made of steel, the original Wrangler is made of aluminum, therefore the Super Wrangler is available in MN."
