No the striker block safety is shaped different and so is the transfer bar that actuates it. There may be other differences but that is the first one that comes to mind.
Hi Matthew, No I'm sorry it won't work on the Gen5 G19.
the trigger housing on the gen 5 has a bump on it that will not allow the slide plate of the gen 4 to pass over it. I did manage to put a gen 5 slide on the gen 4 frame so the striker block may still function. You may be able to change the back plate on the slide to get around the trigger housing issue.
No it wont, different slide grooves/plates to prevent just that. The locking blocks and barrel lugs are NOT the same. Also the Gen4 slide doesn't have a dual cutout for the ambi-slide lock.
