The Howa 1500, Savage or Remington 700 Short Action or Long Action depending on your Chassis James.I would look at the following XLR wizard to see which rifle/actions fit your chassis and formulate a decision from there. Hi James, I've always liked to shoot the Remington 700 for long range. If I was going to buy something today though I'd probably go with the new Savage Model 12 LRP in 6.5 Creedmor though, the short-action Model 12 Long Range Precision is designed for elite shooters demanding unparalleled accuracy out to 1,000 yards.
