Hi Roger and welcome. I would confirm with Weatherby Customer Service as they say "Also fits selected Howa 1500 and Smith & Wesson and Mossberg versions of the Howa 1500 (requires retrofitting with the Detachable Box Magazine kit). https://weatherby.com/store/detachable-box-magazine/
