Hi Sundrica, in CA, you need a Firearms Safety Certificate (FSC). This certificate is a small card you get once you pass the California Department of Justice's Firearms Safety Exam. The exam can be taken at any local gun store. Study guide here >>> https://oag.ca.gov/sites/all/files/agweb/pdfs/firearms/forms/hscsg.pdf? You must successfully complete a safety demonstration with the handgun being purchased. I would check local gun shops for more information, as they will be able to help you through the process. LAgunstore here >>> https://www.lagunstore.com/how-to-buy-a-firearm You can also find near FFL's (Gun Dealers) by typing in your zip code here https://www.budsgunshop.com/ffl.php Good luck, stay safe, & have a great day!
