Hi Kirt, The short answer is no, it would be unsafe. The standard bore diameter of a .410 is as expected 0.410 inches in diameter with constriction down to ~0.375 inches if your gun is choked about full choke. The 45 Colt is 0.451-.454 inches in diameter. That is significantly larger than the bore of a 410 shotgun it would be unsafe. Guns like the Judge or Bond Arms have barrels and chambers that are chambered for both .410 shotgun shells and .45 Colt cartridge. If a .410 bore shotgun is not specifically designed and marked as a combo gun that can safely chamber and fire .45 Colt cartridges, attempting to do so would be dangerous and could result in damage to the firearm and potential injury to the shooter.
