This weapon has an mlock rail system. But isn't that a Picatinny rail on top? This may sound like a stupid question, but are the two on the same piece of equipment. I'm just trying to figure out what kind of sights or other gear I can mount on this thing.

Hi Brian and welcome. The Top slots on the receiver and end of the rail near the barrel end are 1913 Picatinny Rails for mounting Sights and/or Optics. The rectangular slots ate the handguard on the sides and bottom are M-LOK Slots.
