Hi Jim and welcome. Pattern will be good out to 40 yards with a Full Choke tube and good turkey load. Remember though, it has an 18-inch barrel which is more of a defensive barrel length but, will get the job done. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

Hi Jim, while not optimal for turkey hunting at 40 yards, it can get the job done. As for the pattern, that is something you will need to do yourself. Different loads will pattern different, the gun makes a difference, there is no way we could tell you the best turkey load for this gun at 40 yards. You need to try different loads & see which does best for you.

while it will do the job it would not be ideal for hunting also check your states game laws as some states have a 3 shot capacity limit for turkeys
