Hi Steve, not sure I understand your question. If you have a 1913 rail, then it would be cost effective to use that rail, otherwise you will spend money in adapter & buffer tube before you even add in the brace. If you have a buffer tube, most likely it is a functioning buffer tube and cannot be removed.
