Well, I'm an old guy that owns maybe 25 firearms between long guns and handguns. AND, in my opinion this is the absolutely coolest firearm I own. It's actually a piece of Art. I'm thinking about mounting this rifle in a case over my mantle. It's just that beautiful.

Now lets forget the beauty and talk about the function. After zeroing in the iron sights the rifle shoots where I aim it at 50 yards. I haven't shot it as yet at a longer distance that 50 yards. There is absolutely no recoil using 357 ammo. I have not shot any 38 special in the rifle to date. The leaver action and tube feed need a little "getting used to". It feels a bit different than a gate fed 30 - 30. But I'm getting used to it. Great gun folks. Buds is way cheaper than anywhere else I could find one. If your into a nostalgic piece that shoots revolver ammo don't waist your money on the off brand rifles. Spring for the Extra couple of bucks and get one of these. They just scream QUALITY AND BEAUTY.

Another great purchase experience! Thank you Buds. This is my third Henry purchased from Buds and I love them all. Right out of the box it was dead on. If your thinking of buying one do it you will not be disappointed.Buds has the best price and fast shipping.

This Henry 357 rifle exceeds expectations.
A Great Price from Buds, coupled with fast shipping was much appreciated.

Very High quality, Beautifully Built and surprisingly accurate are all qualities of this Henry 357.

Aguila 357 cal., 158 grain factory ammo, (also available from Buds), is extremely accurate in my Henry rifle.
This Aguila round will shoot three shot groups, with all shots touching, at 50 yards.
*Pretty good for a lever action rifle....

Thanks again Buds for a Great Henry Rifle.

I'm extremely happy with this purchase. The Henry is beautifully made, and I feel that I got a very fair price from Buds.

Also, the shipping was so fast that the rifle was already at my FFL before I received email notification.

Good Job!

This was a great deal all around. Buds kept me updated and shipping was fast. I have a lot of gun's and this Henry big boy might be my favorite. Added a 3x9 scope and shoots a nice group at 50 yards. With the Octagon barrel it's heavy enough that there's zero recoil. Even the wife liked that. And around $75.00 less than the next lowest price I could find.

Awesome gun very nice might have to get a couple more in different calibers. I must say I have bought many guns over the years from Buds and they have always been super fast and I was disappointed in the delivery time on this one way to long in my opinion Thought it might of been a fluke and ordered another gun 6 days ago and the status is still processing? Disappointed in a company who as always be great? What is going on at Buds?

Absolutely beautiful rifle with fine craftsmanship evident throughout. Arrived with small nick on buttplat, obviously shipping damage. I notified the folks at Henry Arms, told them no big deal and I could probably buff it out. They insisted on sending the entire butt stock assembly to make sure I was happy. Noe THAT is customer service!
Shoots beautifully, smooth as butter. Don't be afraid of the higher caliber models... the BigBoy models are heavy / stout with next to no felt recoil. Looking forward to buying another one some day. Worth the extra cost... a great value.

I have wanted a Henry rifle ever since the first time I saw one, and even more so after I held it. I finally purchased one when Buds got the .357 Magnum Henry Big Boy in stock. I waited anxiously and it arrived today at my local FFL. I inspected it and it is everything I expected. It is packaged in the box, wrapped with moisture absorbing paper, and has a protective cloth sleeve covering the brass to prevent scratches. After checking to see that it was not loaded, I looked at the walnut stock. It is one of the nicest pieces of walnut that I have seen on a gun... dark, figured, smooth, and scratch free. It is a hefty gun, very solid, with a smooth action. The brass is polished to a shine. The octagon barrel is evenly blued. The loading tube is tight, but not too tight... it is just perfect and does not rattle around.

After getting it home it was getting late, but there was just enough light to take a few shots into my target berm. I loaded up four .38 Special cartridges, worked the action and chambered a round, and pulled the trigger. I did not note the feel of the trigger, but it certainly did not feel bad. The rifle gave a small report and a tiny kick (about the same as a .22, due to the mass of the gun). I paused then fed in another round... it chambered smoothly. I fired the remaining three shots quickly without lowering the rifle. All three fired flawlessly. I did not check accuracy, but I expect that it will outshoot my poor eyes.

To summarize: this rifle is beautiful, it is entirely made in the USA, and it functions perfectly. This is everything I expected from my first Henry!
