The Glock 17 Gen5 is a full-size 9mm pistol built around Glock's proven striker-fired platform. Its rough-textured, finger-groove-free polymer frame provides a secure hold in demanding conditions and with gloved hands, while interchangeable backstraps help tailor the grip to the shooter's hand. Gen5 features include a reversible magazine release, ambidextrous slide stop, flared magazine well, orange magazine follower, and an extended-front magazine floor plate for quicker reloads. The nDLC finish provides durable corrosion and wear protection, and the Glock Marksman Barrel is designed to deliver consistent accuracy. This configuration includes AmeriGlo night sights with a green front sight, orange outline, and green rear sight for improved visibility in low-light conditions.

I prefer the Gen 5...
I prefer the Gen 5 over the Gen 4 because they've removed the finger grooves. For me that makes it a little more comfortable. The orange mag followers are a nice touch. The Ameriglo night sights including with this version work pretty well. You're not going to want them for target shooting but in a carry situation they're great for fast target acquisition. The tritium is nice and bright after dark.\r \r I'm not really sure what else to say. It's a Glock.It's reasonably priced. It's a hunk of plastic that's not going to win any awards for being pretty or stylish but that's not what it's made for. It's meant to go bang every time you pull the trigger and for that it performs perfectly.
