this is a pretty good pistol. accurate and no problems. i like the decock feature. a bit heavy for concealed carry. the trigger could be better, lighter with a distinct wall.

This pistol is ideal for duty, target shooting and home defense, it has an extra capacity magazine as it is a proven model (Beretta style) it is very reliable. I have not faced any problem and very accurate

This is an outstanding gun. Taurus took the Beretta 92 and perfected it. This is a perfect fit in hand. Shoots very smooth and accurate. Did not encounter any malfunctions within the first 500 rounds of it’s life

Aims true, shoots true and cycles smooth as butter. Heavy pistol soaks up recoil and grip ergonomics keep it snug. Good three-dot sights and ships with an extra magazine--nice touch. I wanted a hammer-fired pistol for crisp trigger action and ability to carry cocked and locked when needed as a go-to sidearm. Curved, smooth trigger face contributes to a whole "fitted" feel. This is an easy gun to shoot well. Nice aesthetics and I'll probably dress it up with some OEM grips. Now the bad news and the reason for a 4/5 review: after 70 - 80 rounds, the slide locked back on the empty magazine but the magazine release button would not depress and the magazine is stuck in the well. So this purchase is headed back to Taurus to repair an apparent defect. I'm hopeful this is a one-off issue.

This has got to be the worst pistol I've ever purchased. On my fist shot the second one jammed. Every second shot was a no go. After 4 tries I noticed copper filings around the feed ramp. Cleaned and oiled it and swapped clips. Same results. Taurus must a given the quality control dept. the day off when this one came off the line. Now I have the added cost (and time) of finding a gunsmith to see if anything can be done. Beware. Quality Control is a his or miss with this gun.

Awesome EDC and range piece!! Heavy enough to absorb practically all the recoil. It's a, "point and shoot", and barely need the sights which are in themself perfect. The hi-cap mags are a definite plus although it cycles so fast it can get expensive quickly. It takes the 92 series 10 round mags perfectly for those places that restrict the hi-cap, I picked up 3 at a good deal. This has replaced my G3 as my EDC and it performs flawlessly! Definitely a piece to add to the collection!! Once again, Bud's comes through with a great product at a great price, fast shipping and a smooth and professional transaction.

Thanks to Buds for a quick and easy purchase. I’ve owned a Taurus full size 92 in the past and really liked it but have always been drawn to the shorter compact version. When I saw Taurus had brought back the 917c I quickly ordered one. I have not been disappointed. It has so far functioned flawlessly with many brands of ammo including aluminum case Blazer. It seams to hold better groups with 124 grain bullets than with 115’s. I plan on trying some 147 grain sometime. Very pleased with this gun.
