Awesome. Shot maybe close to 400 rounds and no issues on jamming. Works flawlessly. Shot FMJ. I recommend even if it’s a high point. And looks pretty cool as well.

Cool weapon. Site was right on out the box. Fired 500 rounds with no problem. Sometimes when reloading the mag it fails to enter the chamber. I still like the weapon.

Money well spent, i have handguns/shotguns/big boy rifles etc but I got talked into a pistol caliber carbine. Price cant be beat, reliability cant be beat (i have 300 rds thru it so far no hiccups). Its a blast to shoot, accurate and cheap, just buy one you will be happy.

I purchased this carbine in September of 2017 and it always had misfeeds. I tried different magazines, had Hi-Point send new magazines. Nothing worked reliably and I only shot Federal, Remington and Winchester ammo, fmj and hollow point. I would never rely upon it as a defense gun. I should have sent the carbine to Hi-Point and let them fix it but then Ruger came out with the PC 9mm and I bought that and sold the Hi Point 995. The Ruger PC 9mm is absolutely great, shoots everything, no misfeeds or jams. Later, I purchased a Hi Point 4095 carbine and absolutely love it, no misfeeds, jams, shoots everything and is very accurate.

For the cost this has been a great buy. I haven't had this carbine very long but have put quite a few rounds down range with NO issues and it is fun to shoot

Fast service from Buds, thanks. Very accurate. Reasonably compatible with a variety of 9 mm factory and reman ammos.

Nevada has no restrictions that would affect this gun. so as long as you are 18 or older and have nothing in your background that prevents you fro owning a firearm you will be fine. You will need a ID

Arthur I think nothing has changed in that regard. Currently Buds only has 1 Hi point carbine on it's CA list here : https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=2084_1153_1797&filter_id=227

I agree with you that it is probably banned. I suggest that you check with a local FFL holder to make sure. It is easy to get make a error with the messed up state laws. Also we are not buds employees we are volunteers that answer questions. we do make errors but most of us really take the time to try and look things up and give good advise. Best answers are selected by the person who asked the question and some of them select the answer that they wanted to get not the correct answer
