The M9A1 is an evolution of the legendary Beretta M9 military semiauto pistol, developed with the advice of several law-enforcement and military agencies around the world. The M9A1 Compact With Rail is a smaller and lighter variation that features an attractive and super-resistant Bruniton finish. Its many tactical features, ruggedness and absolute reliability make it a great choice for on- or off-duty carry, as well as personal defense or concealed carry.

Compact and Super-Resistant

Compared to its full-size counterpart, the M9A1 Compact is a full ¾” shorter and 2.3 oz. lighter, making it even more comfortable for all-day carry. Also, its shorter trigger-reach will make it simple to shoot even by users with smaller hands--and even for that first double-action pull. While in the holster, its super-resistant Bruniton finish makes it stand up to sweat even on scorching summer days, while also making it more impervious to corrosion between shooting and cleaning.


Full of Tactical Features

This handgun offers a great number of useful tactical features, without compromising on its military-style sturdiness and toughness. The magazine well is beveled, for lightning-quick tactical mag-changes without taking your eyes off the target. The combat trigger guard facilitates the use of the handgun while wearing gloves, as well as an ideal and secure placement of the off-hand; also, the front and backstrap are checkered to ensure a positive and consistent grip. Lastly, an integral Picatinny rail enables the easy mounting of tactical accessories such as lighting and sighting systems--without any gunsmithing or modification to the pistol.

First time buying from Bud Guns, It was super fast and easy. I will be ordering from Buds Gun again. The gun came in with a little too much oil on it, so I recommend doing a good cleaning on it and oiling it yourself before going to range. I enjoyed shooting this firearm. It is very accurate, the recoil is mostly absorbed by the metal frame and double action pull is heavy but in a good way. You can easily carry this loaded and with the safety on. The single action is quick and short. Its a beautiful gun. Overall a great gun and a great experience from Buds.

Great pistol! Accurate, reliable. The accessory rail is a big benefit to as to attach a light if the intention is for this to be a home defense tool. Be aware that the grip is still relatively fat compared to other double stack pistols and may not fit well in smaller hands. Also, even though this is the compact version, it is still a pretty big gun. Heavy too. So it is not the easiest gun to carry if that what you are looking for.

Been looking for a 92 Compact w Rail for 10 years. Grabbed it when it was on 180 day layaway. I was very happy to see this one was made in the new factory in factory in Gallatin TN. The quality, fit and finish is the best I’ve seen so far. Kudos to their new tooling and machinists. Fixed sights were dead on POA perfect with 124 gr HST 9mm+p. All the machining on the slide and frame were crisp and improved from my Italy 2015 92A1 and Maryland 2001 92FS. Put 100 rounds of Remington UMC 115 gr 9mm, zero malfunctions as always. The 2 13 round mags were stiff, but perfect in function. Guide rod is steel, but this comes with a polymer coated trigger. Go to beretta.com or Buds and grab the factory D spring kit with metal trigger and you’ll never let this one go. To change the hammer spring all you need is a glock tool and a hard surface, they replaced the hammer spring retention roll pin with a nice easy push pin under the grips. I recommend the Wilson Combat 14# hammer spring for a perfect balance of reliability and shootabilty.

I'm very enthusiastic about Beretta's 92 FS series of firearms and this is a must have for a Beretta aficionado or anyone looking for a excellent firearm. The light rail makes this a great choice for home protection. I'd recommend a Sentry Safe Biometric fingerprint safe for quick access storage on a night stand next to the bed and a StreamLight high intensity rail attachment light for the gun. This system is child safe as the gun is stored in a small steal safe but is immediately accessible with the biometric finger print feature if needed. You'll sleep easy knowing you've got a Beretta close by if you need it!

I wanted this as a carry pistol because I have carried the full size version during my service in the USAF. This pistol is a smooth shooter. I cleaned and lubed this pistol before I headed to the range. I shot 300 rounds of various ammunition, even cheap winchester steel cased ammo. The beretta ate everything. After a few more thousand rounds, I'll be sending this to Wilson Combat for the carry treatment. Awesome pistol and couldnt be happier.

What can I say, just a nice pistol. If you like the 92 series from Beretta you will really enjoy this pistol. It is still comparatively large for a 13 round 9mm despite being called a compact, though it is certainly smaller than the full size 92. It shoots and carries well, again if you like Beretta's this will not disappoint. Though I have not fired it extensively there have been no malfunctions to date, the sights are regulated well. Bud's got it to me in good order and in a timely fashion, just as would be expected. It did have the plastic trigger that Beretta went to on many of their models some time ago. A steel trigger "kit" is available and is very easy to install, if the trigger is a concern as it is for some.

Great looking pistol shoots well accurate solid heavy so recoil not bad loved my beretta sorry I let my friend talk me into trading it for the xds 9mm didn’t like it the back safety is not for me as I have small hands I sold and got my shield 9mm

Thanks to Bud's team. Very professional yet friendly. A pleasure to deal with. This weapon is everything I hoped it be. After spending 12 years shooting my service pistol I came to enjoy the reliability Beretta offers. I like the compact more than the full size for the ergonomics with my strong and off-hand shooting. Nice balance. Functioned perfectly. Highly recommend!
