With a light on it, it will fit standard holsters for 1911's with lights mounted. Without the light on it you will have to get a holster that is made for full railed 1911's. The grip is large, but not too much. If you can handle a typical double stack handgun comfortably then this gun won't be a problem. The biggest issue for this gun is just the weight. You will need a thick leather belt to support the weight of the gun.
The fit of the gun is first class and the gun does not rattle if you shake it (like a Colt does). If they stamped the slide Sig or Colt many people would be willing to pay twice as much for the gun. The finish is evenly applied and looks good. Everything on the gun is metal except for the fiber optic pipe. The gun comes with a 17 round magazine but it holds 18 and works perfectly with 18 in it. The Remington magazines fit and hold 19 rounds.
It is easy to shoot the gun fast as there is hardly any muzzle rise. A three pound all steel gun just soaks up the recoil. The trigger pull is not at a custom 1911 level, but it is crisp with a clean break. I don't own a trigger gauge, but I would guess in the 5-6 pound pull range with a short reset.
If you want a gun that is fun to shoot, accurate, and has low recoil then this may be the gun for you. I would not recommend this gun as a daily carry gun. Yes you could do it, but IMO it's just too heavy for that. Home defense, competition, plinking, or range gun is where this gun belongs.
