I was very disappointed with the velocity. The listed box velocity is 2910 ft/sec and over 6 shots, I saw an average velocity of 2719 ft/sec...this is approximately 6.5 Creedmoor performance. My 6.5 CM with Barnes Harvest 140 grain bullets averaged 2726 ft/sec (with a box velocity of 2700 ft/sec). The 6.5 PRC rifle is a Model 70 Featherweight with a 24" barrel and the 6.5 CM is a Model 70 Coyote Lite with a 24" barrel. The one redeeming thing (and this is rather important) is that the shots grouped excellent, well under 1" groups. However, my 6.5 CM already groups well and I'm not looking for a PRC that has a Creedmoor's velocity. I did have one other manufacturer's ammo with me for the PRC and the rifle did shoot that ammo at close to box velocity, so it's not that it I have a rifle with a slow barrel.
