I have always hand...
I have always hand loaded Barnes bullets, and love the accuracy and their terminal performance. This is the first time I ever shot their loaded ammunition. I bought these in 338 win mag, Shooting at 200 yards through a ruger m77 they printed better than MOA! Suffice it to say I love the ammo..there is a catch. On the first box I had a round that didn't go off. The rest of the box was fine. I contacted Barnes talked to Matt, and received first class service. They paid for return of all 4 boxes I ordered, and even though I shot a full box they sent me 4 new boxes back. \r In spite of the one misfire, I still go with 5 stars, this will be the only cartridge I hunt with in the 338.

The Barnes VOR-TX 338...
The Barnes VOR-TX 338 Winchester Magnum Tipped TSX Boat Tail 210gr was a very good shooting round. Bought three different brands to see which ones the Sako 338 liked best. Although I can't condemn any of the 3, I can say that the Barnes was definitely most consistent and best shooting. The Federal Trophy 200 gr was good shooting but didn't seem quite as consistent as the Barnes. The Hornady Superformance seemed to throw the shots outside of the 1 1/2" circle more than I like. I will always pick Barnes over most all other calibers and brands. I know in the Sako the Barnes shot better. I will continue to test shoot between these brands just in case i was the fault.
