Good round, but if looking for a bullet without steel in it you'll be disappointed. This has a copper coated steel jacket.

I have gone thru a couple boxes but ammo has performed flawlessly. I like this ammo and plan to buy more, may become my range ammo. I give it 4 1/2 out of 5 only because I havent fired many rounds

I hesitate to review...
I hesitate to review this so early, having only shot 60 rounds out of the case. Hopefully I can edit later if needed... Pros: * Inexpensive vs. true brass case (these are brass coated steel casings, in case anyone wasn't aware... idea is to solve the known feed issues with steel cased ammo in Mini 30's) * No feed issues thus far (see above) Cons: * 1 failure to fire: primer was struck hard and dead-center, but no bang. Looks like it almost pushed the primer through into the case. Unsure if it was a manufacturing issue, or a known issue with Mini 30 not liking Berdan primers vs. Boxer. * There's some corrosion around the tip, where the exposed lead meets the brass-coated steel case. Saw this on perhaps 5 of the 60 rounds. Not sure if this was a warehouse/storage issue or is to be expected. Didn't seem to affect operation, but I'm now hesitant to stockpile this for long-term, even in ammo cans w/ desiccant packets. Firearm: Ruger Mini 30 (189xxx series)
