This Browning ammo is...

This Browning ammo is fantastic, and feeds really well in both my 2018 Ruger SR1911, and my 1994 Norinco Colt M1911A1 WWII US Army Sidearm replica (both are my carry pistols). At 920 feet/second from a 5-inch barrel, this Browning ammo has a Taylor Knockdown Factor ~13.6, which is better than most of the 10-mm Auto ammunition that's currently available for current production 10-mm auto-loading pistols. Since there is no such thing as the perfect bullet for every situation, I mix this ammo in along with the Browning BXP jacketed hollow point, Underwood +P 230-grain, 1000-f/s bonded JHPs, Underwood +P 230-grain XTP JHPs (both are 14.8 TKOF) with the last 3 rounds being Underwood +P 255-grain, 925 f/s non-jacketed, flat-nose, 21-Brinell Hardness Number lead rounds (15.2 TKOF) in my carry magazines. Bud's prices are tough-to-beat, but I've noticed a price increase in this ammo. This must be due to all the gun-control politics going on, and people making on run ammo!

I ordered this and BRO AMMO 45ACP 230GR FMJ PERFORMANCE TARGET 50/10. The product under review (BRWA B191800451 PT 45A 230 50/10) is listed at $20.85, and the BRO AMMO 45ACP 230GR FMJ PERFORMANCE TARGET 50/10 is listed at $17.92; both are 50-round boxes. Both boxes of ammo have Browning's 191800451 catalog number. Interestingly when examining the bullets, the BRWA B191800451 PT 45A 230 50/10 bullets have a deeper shade of copper, and the bullet has a slightly shorter, fatter shape; while the BRO AMMO 45ACP 230GR FMJ PERFORMANCE TARGET 50/10 has a lighter shade of copper, and a narrower, longer shape. Both are flat-head bullets. Both cartridges weigh the same--between 20 and 21 grams (230 grain bullet). Both have the same stated muzzle velocity from a 5-inch barrel at 920 feet-per-second. Both have nickel-plated brass cases. I'm just not sure what accounts for the price difference?. All else being equal, I'd recommend customers order the BRO AMMO 45ACP 230GR FMJ PERFORMANCE TARGET 50/10 for $17.92 (50-round box)--assuming ballistics performance is identical between the two Bud's item numbers BRWA B191800451 PT 45A 230 50/10 and BRO AMMO 45ACP 230GR FMJ PERFORMANCE TARGET 50/10? In either case, both Browning ammos seem to be the fastest 230-grain ball ammo 0.45 ACP rounds available (920 feet-per-second) without resorting to Underwood Ammo's +P, 230-grain 0.45 ACP--with a muzzle speed of a 1000 feet-per-second--and of course no one can beat Bud's pricing.
