we have standardized...
we have standardized on buffalo bore for home defense as well as bear loads when in the local woods (small to medium sized black bears, not grizzlies). JHP for home defense, hard/solid tip for the bears, .40 cal. or 10mm all of the loads we use are increased pressure/speed/energy. and tested at the range, etc. the loads are expensive, but not overly so. so far, so good. this jhp is a very good load, as is the heavier bullet version jhp. practice with it - never had a misfire, misfeed, etc (although I use Beretta pistols).
