I got this ammo as a...
I got this ammo as a quick solution for my new .243 before I had time to develop a handload for it. I must say, my Winchester 1885 High Wall Hunter did not like this ammo very much. A 1.8 MOA group was the best I could get out of it at 100 yards. I had some older handloads developed for another rifle that grouped .75 MOA at 100 yards in the 1885 so I know the large group was not the rifle. I did go ahead and use the Federal Premium ammo on a deer hunt where I knew I couldn't get a shot over 150 yards. A deer shot through both lungs ran roughly 50 yards which is about right I think. The Sierra bullets in the ammo has a good reputation. My rifle just didn't like the ammo very much as far as accuracy goes.

Unbelievable. Took the...
Unbelievable. Took the rifle out of the box and headed for the range. rough sighted in at 25 yards. After 5 shots to get Zero, I shot a 3 shot 5/8" group at 100 yards. I don't shoot that good. 2 more shots were very close. This may very well be the rifle that I will keep.
