Fiocchi's 142-grain FMJ truncated cone loads are a fantastic choice for anyone looking for high-quality, reliable .357 Magnum range ammunition. The unique 142-grain weight provides a bit more "oomph" than standard target loads while maintaining impressive accuracy out of a longer barrel. I found that the truncated cone profile feeds smoothly in the 1854, avoiding the cycling hiccups sometimes seen with flat-nose or hollow-point designs. It burns very clean, which is a huge plus when you're putting 50 or 100 rounds through a lever-action and want to keep the action slick. Despite being priced as "range dynamics" ammo, the consistency in muzzle velocity and point of impact is comparable to more expensive premium brands.
