Each 140 grain InterLock Spire Point bullet uses an exposed lead tip, a lead-alloy core, and Hornady's InterLock ring to help keep the core and jacket together during expansion. The conventional-pressure load uses carefully selected propellants for consistent performance and produces a listed muzzle velocity of 2,940 feet / second and muzzle energy of 2,687 foot-pounds. Brass cases support reliable cycling in compatible firearms, including semi-automatic platforms.
