Hornady Dangerous Game .450 Nitro Express ammunition is loaded with a 500-grain DGX Bonded expanding bullet engineered for large and dangerous game. The hard lead and antimony alloy core is bonded to a copper-clad steel jacket to help the bullet retain weight and penetrate deeply. Its flat meplat supports straight-line penetration and produces substantial energy transfer. Factory loads are regulated for reliable performance in both classic double rifles and modern rifle designs. Each 20-round box contains brass-cased cartridges loaded to a muzzle velocity of 2,150 feet / second and muzzle energy of 5,127 foot-pounds. It is not a +P or otherwise specially pressurized commercial load.
