- OVER PRESSURE...
- OVER PRESSURE WARNING FOR: MAGTECH CBC OTM 556NATO 77GR HPBT 50RD (CBC556C) LOT#CBC046/17 WCR845C L2202/17, BARREL 20" WYLDE 223 - While this ammo shot well, ejected and extracted without issue. after only 10 rounds fired, i was dismayed to see serious over pressure indications upon inspecting the brass. 1- cratering can and will leave bits and pieces in the firing pin hole, eventually jamming the pin. 2- out gassing at the junction between the primer and brass will eventually etch the bolt face. 3- and finally a popped primer can and will make it's way into the lower jamming up the trigger at the most inopportune time. in short, this ammo should be used for recreation 'plinking', sight-in, only. i would neither suggest a steady diet of this or duty use. I was trying to find...
I was trying to find some inexpensive 77gr ammo that I could use for 3 gun in my 18" 1:8 barrel. I wanted the heavier bullet so when I had to push out to 2 and 3 hundred yard targets I wouldn't have to change mags with the heavier ammo. This will ring steel loud and true and you don't have to worry about adjusting your zero, great ammo for the price and accuracy.
