I have a CZ455 in...
I have a CZ455 in 22LR. I upgraded the barrel to the 16.5" Lilja barrel. I moved the barred action to a McRees Precision G10 chassis. I also upgraded the trigger and striker spring to YoDave components. I tested 9 different ammo types from Lapua (CenterX & Midas+), RWS (R-50, Target Rifle, Rifle Match), CCI (Select Precision), Eley (Match, Tenex), and Fiocchi Rifle Super Match. I shot each of these ammunitions in 10 shot groups at 50 yards (indoor range, benchrest using off bipod and rear bag. RWS Target Rifle consistently shot the best groups. I had (2) 10 shot groups that made a single hole that could be covered by a dime. I also test this ammo with a LabRadar chrony. Across 30 shots, RWS averaged 1040.95fps, extreme spread was 32.21fps and standard deviation was 10.8fps. I also had excellent results from Lapua CenterX, Eley Match and Eley Tenex. With these three though, I could not consistently shoot a single hole group. I tried (3) 10 shot groups with each. I was able to shoot one shot holes with each, but only once. The groups were very good, but each would have a flier or two (not called). Also, the chrony results (std dev) were not as impressive as RWS Target. I will continue to test different lots from Eley, Lapua, and RWS to see if there is a change in consistency. In May 2018, I participated in a Precision Rimfire match at PNTC. This is shooting metal targets out to 300 yards. Using the chrony results and the Lapua Ballistics app, I was able to accurately create a drop table for all shots (32 yds out to 295 yds) I could not recommend RWS Target Rifle more highly.
