The classic Federal...
The classic Federal Paper hull clay target shotshells. Premium shells with that nostalgic smell after firing. Reloadable as well, for a few times.

Just had to have these. When I began hunting, paper shells were all we had, and they worked perfectly, though modern wads that surround the shot charge have resulted in better patterns than the old style. I used a box on sporting clays the other day and did very well, better than usual actually, and the aroma from the fired hulls was just like I remember from the '60s. These should be excellent hunting cartridges as well. I have some older pump guns and have had failures to extract. After some research, I switched to shells with real brass heads, not plated steel, and the problem vanished. These shells, along with Remington STS, and some others still have the brass heads, so if you shoot an older Ithaca 37 or Winchester M12, consider one of those.
