A: Hi William, these will not cycle in semi-auto shotguns. They will not cycle in most pump actions, except the Mossberg 590S series, which is made to cycle these shells. A: They will not cycle in most guns at all with the exception of the Mossberg 590S designed for them, various Mossberg pump models with an adapter installed, or Kel-Tec KSG/KS7 off the top of my head. Semi-auto is very unlikely to work due insufficient recoil energy to cycle the bolt as well as the geometry problems of the feed system for semi-auto and pump action alike. In the guns that will work or can be made to work with them, they can substantially increase capacity though.
