Description
Product Overview
Lightfield Home Defender 20 Gauge less lethal ammunition is designed for close-range defensive applications. Each 2 3/4 inch shotshell contains two .60 caliber rubber balls launched at a stated muzzle velocity of 900 feet / second from an 18 inch barrel, producing approximately 120 foot-pounds of combined muzzle energy. The projectiles shed energy quickly as distance increases, but serious injury or death remains possible, especially at close range.

I have not fired these...
I have not fired these yet. I do have experience using similar product for non-lethal alternative. Plan is to use these on the unwanted critters around my rural property. Great service from Buds.

I read a good number...
I read a good number of reviews for these rubber double ball shells. The fact that they are typically non- lethal (I guess unless you shoot in the fact or head at close range) it may be difficult for some to fathom when they'd ever want to use them against a home intruder. The "pop" kinda reminded me of shooting a primer in a ML to dry the bore. I stacked to heavy-weight pieces of cardboard together for my target and shot 15 rounds at about 25 ft. Every ball went through the target and into the leaves behind it with "ZERO" recoil. The several balls I recovered were intact - a kind of sold plastic (?). I've not decided yet exactly how I will use them but I loaded my 870 hunting shotgun with them and #3 buck in my HD shotgun. Reading the manufacturer's descriptive comments might give you some insight into its purpose and effects, I intend to keep them around just in case.
