Hits hard with dense...
Hits hard with dense patterns. This is one of the only lead #2 loads available. While you can't use it for water fowl, it is a superb general homestead defense round. Through an 18" barrel with a full choke tube installed, it is devastating at home defense ranges but also will take a coyote at 30 yards or a fox at 50. Living in the country, your a thousand times more likely to need your shotgun for 4 legged critters than 2 legged. This round does a great job at both. Is it a round for man-sized targets at 30 yards? No. But at legitimate home defense ranges of 15 and less, it's devastating.
